Though Mr. Matheson is a diligent Raleigh Criminal Lawyer and Raleigh DWI Lawyer, he find his work with Raleigh Juvenile Offenders particularly rewarding. For that reason, Mr. Matheson volunteers his time to several youth-focused programs. One program Mr. Matheson is particularly passionate about is the Capital Area Teen Court program.
Capital Area Teen Court is a wonderful program which provides teenage first-time offenders the ability to potentially avoid a conviction through participation in a mock trial as well as certain sentencing requirements. The mock trial is performed by teen attorneys, teen jurors, even a teen bailiff. During these trials, Mr. Matheson utilizes his legal experience to provide guidance to the teen attorneys as well as constructive feedback on their performances. Since beginning with the program, Mr. Matheson has attended every Teen Court night. Due to his commitment to the program and helpful interaction with the youth volunteers, Attorney Matheson was selected to join the Capital Area Teen Court’s Mock Trial Team as they prepare for their State competition. “Teen Court is such a benefit to the community on so many levels. From the Teen Defendant’s who are given a second chance while participating in a real-life trial experience to the youth volunteers who are gaining valuable experience in the judicial system as well as working on their public speaking” Matheson stated. “It is my honor to work with the youth attorneys in this program as they prepare to take on other Teen Court Mock Trial teams in North Carolina for title of State Champions.”

The additional charge for Regency Club room accommodations and use of the private Regency Club is $ 25.00 in addition to the above the guest room rate.
