Evesham, Worcestershire (PRWEB UK) 5 May 2012
Lawn-Mowers-Shop (LMS) has been in operation for pretty much an entire year now and after seeing quite a lot of traffic & success last summer, the guys managing the site hope to see the same in 2012.
The domain name of the website makes it fairly obvious what the site is selling; lawn mowers and a huge variety of them as well. With varying brand names and models on offer, there is surely something here to please everyone; unless of course you dont have any grass…
Its important for websites to target their season; for example if a website selling snow shovels promotes and advertises primarily in summer, its pretty much a lost cause. Thats why focusing all these marketing efforts on specific seasons and times of year can have huge benefits for a website. Last year proved cylinder lawn mowers to be a huge hit; the team are currently trying to guess what the hit product this year will be.
The site has undergone some significant improvements over the last couple of months and deadlines for work being carried out was pushed forward to March when the sun was gleaming and temperatures were soaring. But since the last 4-5 weeks have been rather dismal, more work has been carried out in anticipation of the sun coming out to play over the summer months.
All of the improvements have led to an increase in site speed, usability and accessibility. These 3 factors are critical to a users experience on the site, this should never be overlooked. For the simple reason that; if a customer doesnt like or isnt able to browse the website to an adequate standard they will leave, no questions asked.
Scott Morris, Marketing Manager and the prime implementer of the majority of these changes commented: Its all about ensuring the customer enjoys their time on the site and understands where they are and what theyre doing. If at any point they become confused or unsure, theyll hit the back button, which is the opposite of what we want. The changes improve navigation and make finding the product the customer came to buy, much easier. For example, if you came to buy petrol lawn mowers then theres a specific group to compare those types of lawnmower. Its optimised to a high level, but we still welcome any feedback, positive or negative as we can draw constructiveness from either.
Lawn-Mowers-Shop is a sub-site of GardenToolbox and they both operate on the ever-expanding Plumbworld Network which currently boasts an astounding 50+ websites which sell everything from Bemis toilet seats and shower enclosures to Franke kitchen sinks and leaf blowers. Plumbworld was an early pioneer of online trading, started by James and Anita Hickman in 1999 and sold to the Grafton Group PLC in December 2006. The business now employs more than 50 people in its purpose built warehouse and offices and has a total turnover in excess of ?18 million and is growing at more than 20% year on year.

Denver, CO (PRWEB) May 03, 2012
Metro Construction, Inc, was recently recognized by multiple industry leaders for their performance and dedication to value, helping customers get the most out of rebates and warranties for roofing and insulation.
The construction company, which services the entire Front Range region, is one of only about 200 Platinum Preferred Contractors with Owens Corning. Owens Corning is a Fortune? 500 company and a leading global producer of residential and commercial building materials, glass-fiber reinforcements and engineered materials for composite systems.
Metro Construction went above and beyond the Platinum Preferred requirements in 2011, and was recognized at the 2012 Platinum Celebration, the annual Owens Corning? awards ceremony in honor of the best contractors in the nation. The company received not one but two awards.
One was for Top Performer Purchase Volume, indicating that Metro Construction performed more roofing and insulation jobs than any other Platinum Preferred Contractor. The second was Top Performer Warranty Sales, meaning Metro Construction provided homeowners with more extended roofing warranties than any other Platinum Preferred Contractor.
Were excited, said Metro Construction CEO Jerod Raisch, when asked about the awards. Its great to see our work recognized by such an industry leader.
Metro was able to achieve their impressive sales and warranties by installing over 1,000 roofs last year across the Front Range. Another major factor was helping homeowners save money on their energy bills by installing attic insulation with the AttiCat System, one of the most popular services offered by the company.
The Owens Corning awards came hot on the heels of another award. In 2011, Metro Construction was recognized by Xcel Energy for providing the most rebates for attic insulation installation. The company performed thousands of blown-in insulation installations last year, helping homeowners receive the maximum ROI for their investment with rebates and energy savings.
Raisch continued to say, We work our hardest year round to serve homeowners with the best products and warranties around. To find out were the number one provider of Owens Corning? warranties and Xcel Energy rebates is an honor.
Metro Construction is based in Denver, Colorado and provides roofing, insulation, siding, windows, painting and more. They serve homeowners and property managers throughout Colorado and Wyoming, with offices in Denver, Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Loveland and Cheyenne. About StorHouse
StorHouse is a hardware-independent, multi-functional software platform that automatically stores, validates, retrieves, backs up, archives, and manages terabytes to zettabytes of file-based and relational information on a single, easy-to-access system. Because StorHouse abstracts hardware, users see a single unified global namespace rather than specific device types. SSD, JBOD, RAID, MAID, and tape all look like one unlimited storage pool. In addition, by storing data in native rather than proprietary file format, StorHouse eliminates the need for formal restore procedures. Instead, users have self-service access to StorHouse-managed data at any time without IT intervention. No application interfaces or changes to existing applications are required.
StorHouse is a full-service system with data analysis, policy-driven migration, and automated storage management features, thereby providing a unified, cost-effective storage experience for users and applications. By intelligently migrating files from primary storage to the lowest-cost StorHouse-managed media, StorHouse reduces the amount of operational data requiring backup and drives up to a 90% reduction in overall storage costs without changing the way users work with and access data. The end result is unmatched data assurance and access at the lowest cost per petabyte of storage.
FileTek thanks the Datacentre Solutions panel of judges for selecting StorHouse as a finalist for the 2012 Storage Software Product of the Year Award. We look forward to the award announcement in May and wish all finalists good luck throughout the public voting period, commented Gary Szukalski, President of FileTek. Our finalist status validates the competitive advantage and measurable ROI that StorHouse provides. And, that value is real. As one of our customers, the Carnegie Institution for Science, attests, StorHouse enhances operational efficiency while providing a 781% ROI and three-month payback period. David Lloyd Leisure runs triathlon clubs that are free to members.
And to get you started for your first or next triathlon, here are some top tips from PSMs specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapist, Andrea Havill:
Do a brick session the most challenging part of your first triathlon is getting off the bike and running when your legs feel like bricks;
Practise getting out of the swimming pool at speed it sounds easy, but your arms will be tired after all those laps, so haul yourself out of the pool a few times after each swim;
Buy elastic laces for your trainers and practise pulling them on and off at speed surprisingly hard under pressure;
Eat well – make sure you have nutritious snacks an hour or so before you train and eat protein to aid muscle recovery within 30 minutes of your main training session;
Stay hydrated – try to consume at least two litres a day in addition to other drinks you have. In the heat, consider using electrolytes in your drink while training;
Have a massage – give yourself a treat for all that hard work but, more importantly, this will help with muscle recovery and prevent injuries caused by tight muscles;
Stretch or use a foam roller do something proactive to help prevent injury rather than waiting until you feel tight or get niggles;
Practise changing your bicycle inner tube it would be seriously bad luck to get a puncture on the day, but just in case;
Make a training plan for your last two months just so that you know you will complete all the sessions that you feel are needed, including your brick sessions, and stick to it.
